Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan expressed his satisfaction with the interest shown towards the TRNC.
In his statement after yesterday’s cabinet meeting, Erdogan said that Turkish Cypriots greeted him at the airport with great enthusiasm and embraced him, he said.
With their kindness, they showed that our victory was the victory of the Turkish Cypriot people as well as our nation. In our meetings with President Mr. Tatar, we openly expressed our strong support for the cause of Cyprus. We have once again shared our red lines for the coming period with the international public here. which forms an integral part of the Turkish nation
We will continue our struggle shoulder to shoulder with the Turkish people in Cyprus. We take all kinds of legal, economic and political steps to deepen the integration between the “motherland” and the “child’s homeland”.
We will never allow the rights of our country or the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus to be usurped!”
Erdogan made his first foreign trip from the TRNC after being elected president on June 12.
